Niyama Private Islands

Two islands, one beat.

Two islands, twice the choice. Niyama Private Islands pairs its own surf break and one of the Indian Ocean’s largest kids’ clubs with 134 newly refurbished villas, treetop and underwater dining, and room for both high-energy days and total switch-off.

About the Resort

Two islands, one beat.

Two islands, but no need to choose between them. Niyama Private Islands combines Play and Chill, connected by an overwater boardwalk and open to every guest at any time. Play brings surf, diving, watersports and an energetic family atmosphere; Chill is the quieter counterpoint, home to the Drift Spa, gym and all of the resort’s overwater villas.

Accommodation spans 134 newly refurbished villas and pavilions, from one-bedroom beach and overwater escapes to generous multi-bedroom stays. For larger groups, The Crescent gathers five pool villas across a private overwater boardwalk, with six ensuite bedrooms, five pools and room for up to 22 guests.

The dining programme is as varied as the setting. Eat in the treetops at Nest, head beneath the water at Subsix, dine over the lagoon at Edge, or settle into relaxed beachfront and jungle settings across the two islands. The resort’s own surf break adds a point of difference, with waves breaking right at the shore.

Families are exceptionally well catered for, with an expansive kids’ club, while couples can retreat to candlelit dining, overwater villas and spa time. Niyama suits travellers who want a Maldives stay with genuine range: activity and nightlife when they want it, and quiet island time when they do not.
