Gaafu Alif Atoll

Far south. Best house reefs in the country.

About the Atoll

What Gaafu Alif is for, and what it isn’t.

Gaafu Alif sits in the far south of the country, inside Huvadhoo Atoll, one of the largest natural atolls in the world. Resort count is small, transfers are long, and the marine life is among the richest in the Maldives.

For divers and snorkellers this is the high-water mark. The trade-off is the domestic flight to Kooddoo plus a speedboat hop, which puts off enough travellers to keep the atoll quiet.
